THE PRAGUE STAY OF JAN KRYŠTOF LIŠKA

Annotation: MARTIN ŠVENĚK. The Prague Stay of Jan Krystof Liska Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Department of Art History 2013, 70 p, Bachelor Degree Thesis. The thesis is dealing with the work of Jan Krystof Liska for selected Prague's churches and discusses its impact on the local cultural environment. It defines its role in the development of the Czech Baroque painting in Prague and tries to point out its individual quality and benefit on specific examples. There is presented summary of the current knowledge concerning the authorship, chronology, the results of restoration, painter's conception including the views of leading experts and color reproductions concerning each of those selected works of art. History of "Paris avenue" and art fate

The main meaning and message of this intended absolvent work is primary dedicated to an understandable analyses trying to rationally concentrate on relevant artistically historical values of one of the most controversial and problematic avenue of Prague Capitol - "Paris avenue". The work tries to follow also the broader historical cultural analyses reflecting the destiny of Prague Old town since the existing Jewish City to those days of great Prague architekt transformation until the admired and also at the same time damned boulevard reflecting the Paris pattern Champs Élysées. The work also concetrate on detailed actual description of selective houses and buildings closely connected with therespective avenue.

Art of Jesuit Chapels of the Deceased The theme of this work is presentation of Jesuit Chapel of the Deceased in Bohemia in the Baroque period. The main idea of these chapels are the last idea of man and reminder to purgatory. The presence of purgatory was unquestionable for Baroque society and very often presentation in art. Purgatory was place, which gives hope to the Catholics for salvation and it was great occasional for using special symbols and emblems, it is a way how the remind a believer to the idea of the Last Judgment.

K. I. Dientzenhofer in the service of Society of Jesus Abstract The Diploma Thesis aims to map the famous Jesuit religious buildings arising in the Czech kingdom by the hands of Kilian Ignac Dientzenhofer, as well as some smaller foundations or now-defunct constructions. Firstly it is the rural residences in Liběšice and the completion of the construction in Tuchoměřice or the dispensary in Smíchov, which has been demolished in 1930. Furthermore, the Holy Mountain Steps, which were only partially implemented according to the Dientzenhofer proposal. The Thesis also includes constructions where the architect's authorship is not proven, such as the Chapel of Sts. Archangel Michael in Kozinec and Chapel of Sts. Cross in Středokluky. An important part is also the effort to put these buildings into the context of the work of the younger Dientzenhofer and to get a closer look at the perception of their clients, including the typology of the architectural order within the function. The process of translocation in Ostrov nad Ohří (Schlackenwerth). The origin and development of the church of St Jacob and the church of St Nicolas according to the urbanization

The thesis should notice the time when the two churches arose by looking back at the historical situation in the 13th century Premyslid Bohemia. Furthermore, we will try to evaluate the social, legal and property situation of the given area, and it will monitor the development and building. The work is given a chapter on the administrative area of Sedlecko to point out conflicts of interest of Czech kings and Roman rulers in this territory and the formation of the state historic town of Cheb and between the 12th and 13th century. The origins of Ostrov agglomeration is linked to the family of Hrabišic. The following chapter discusses their family, their asset base and foundation. The main part is devoted to the translocation and the relocation of settlements from the center of the parish church of St. James to St. Nicholas. The reason was, as it was previously shown, an unsatisfactory position of the original settlement for its further development, which was necessary for the competitiveness of the local market center. It subsequently evolved into a town. This situation culminated in the privilege of King John of Luxembourg.
